Dr. Christian Berchtold (Advisory Board)
Dr. Sc. ETH Zürich Christian Berchtold is working since November 2014 as a scientific associate at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW with a strong focus in metabolomics and clinical application mass spectrometry. After he received his Ph.D. in 2013 he spend one year as a researcher at the clinical metabolomics facility of the University Hospital in Bern. Especially during his thesis at ETH Zürich in the group of Prof. Renato Zenobi he developed various designs of ion sources for real time breath analysis and other applications.Christian advises NovionX GmbH in respect to the technical adoption for ion sources. His experience bridges the needs of a user of mass spectrometric tools and the technical aspects necessary to gain results for various applications. In addition to that he supports the all grant applications and cooperation projects with his experience. He is the on-site contact for new projects and collaborations with the University of Applied Sciences as a scientific partner.
